Mission

Background

Clinical Trial Ambassadors

Patients need to know about the opportunity to participate in clinical trials. They need explanation of medical terms and support in asking important questions.

The majority of clinical trials fail to recruit enough patients and are delayed due to recruitment problems and high dropout rates.

Patient-related barriers to participate in clinical trials are often fear of side effects and language problems. Other barriers are the literacy level, sociocultural reasons and a lack of awareness about clinical research.
